“It feels like I have X-ray vision. I see naked
people. . . Beachside, I’ve never seen so many willies or boobs at once. The bodies they belong to are fat and thin,
young and old, short and tall. As I sit
there, conspicuous in my bikini bottoms, I realize they are simply that –
bodies. There is nothing erotic or pervy
about it. The atmosphere is laid-back,
friendly and overwhelmingly democratic.” - Jane Cornwell,

“My mother raised my sisters and I in the [naturist]
lifestyle. My father was always
traveling and because it was just us girls, we didn’t see the point of putting
on clothes. I guess we weren’t really
‘Nudists’ just 4 females who loved being naked around the house, in the garden
or at the beach. I’ve always been a
nudist and I will continue to be a nudist.
I don’t understand clothes, and I don’t like
wearing them. If I do wear clothes I
keep them light and airy. My skin needs
to be free!” – Sophie, https://thenakedadvice.wordpress.com/2017/02/23/busting-myths-on-nudism-with-sophie-rolstad-the-nude-writer/
“The next time you are thinking about heading to the
nude beach, on a nuse cruise, or just to sit at a beach bar with a cold one,
just remember you should do it because it’s GOOD FOR YOU!” – Katie Rain,
nudistusa.com, Vol. 8, # 12, p. 11.
“Nudist children are frequently together with family,
friends, and strangers in nudist environments and it does not make a difference
as long as the same behavior applies as when wearing clothes - i.e. no active
sexual behavior.” - SteveYna, https://youngnaturistsamerica.com/nudist-moms-home-nude-family-nudism-etiquette-kids/
“I have worn the kilt where possible for a number of
year now . . . Wearing the kilt is truly the best of both worlds, kilts and
nudism. Of course, I always wear my kilt
regimentally.” – Dave, https://www.truenudists.com/group/kilt-loving-nudists/1/73310/
“What a weekend!
Been naked since 8:00 pm Thursday night, went to beach to tan nude, did
all chores nude (inside and outside), took trash to curb nude and retrieved
mail nude...what a weekend.” – Sportsdude, https://www.truenudists.com/group/everyday-naked-living-revamped/1/110532/

“Once I moved to the ‘big city’ to begin my adult
career, I looked for nudists and naturists to get to know. It was easier than I thought that it would
be. I started getting invited to homes
of new friends, who held nude social gatherings, often parents bringing their
children (which underscores the non-sexual nature of real nudism and naturism),
and found beaches, public and private, where I could enjoy myself nude.” –

“Danish children don’t grow up paralyzed by the fear
of being laughed at . . . While I spent my school career avoiding the showers
after PE, in Denmark friends tell me they were made to shower together after
every class, with no separate cubicles. . . All the way through kindergarten
and grade school you take the showers and that’s just what you do. You get used to it.” - Polly Phillips. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/wellbeing/mood-and-mind/how-to-love-your-body---------------------------the-danish-way-h/
“Being naked . . . doesn’t expose you at all – it
makes you anonymous and equal. . . This is a huge discovery and probably the
most important one, as it explains why our body is not sexual by nature, we
have sexualized it over time. Gaining
our freedom back to be naked makes us better.” -
Abigail Moss, https://nuetheureux.wordpress.com/2016/11/21/my-first-time-at-a-nudist-resort/
“I’m quite proud of it. Not showing off my bits. I’m proud of that fact that I got out of my
comfort zone. . . My attitude towards nudity hasn’t changed because of this but
it has made me think about what my attitude is. . . I’m comfortable with my
body and what nudity is. . . If you’re not sure how you feel about nudity, get
nude.” - Oscar, https://www.theguardian.com/nude-art-from-the-tate-collection/2016/nov/22/recreating-the-kiss-going-nude-in-the-name-of-art
“I get comfortable almost as I'm walking through our
gate after work unless it's chilly out.
I'm nude most of the time in the house.
If I'm chilly, I find that if I put on slippers (dearfoams), I am
warmer. If worse comes to worse, I put a
robe over my shoulders. . . Today my husband asked if he could take a look in
my car to find something that he's misplaced.
I just handed him the keys. I can
usually get away with going out to where I park the car as there is much
foliage.” – Cheri

Freehiking in June 2019
This week Naturists of Northern Arizona (NNAZ) freehiked the Mingus Mountain Trail. Two members cleaned up much of the trail the Wednesday before the group hike. Then on Monday the 10th eight members gathered for the actual hike.
It was difficult meeting up with everyone at first because some were new and didn't know where the trail started. However, we eventually met and enjoyed a naked walk together. Even with a shady trail, the day was a little hot. Still, enjoying nature naked with friends is always wonderful. Hopefully others will join us next month. Let us know if you are interested.

Friendliness is a hallmark of naturism. If you're a loner, being naked is incomplete and simply wrong headed. Sure, nakedness alone can be a spiritual experience, and a great way to start, but one is not a complete naturist until he or she is nakedness with others.
I cherish my naked friends! How about you?
I so enjoy being with others who share my compassion for nakedness, and so enjoy naked activities. I started my naked journey with freehiking. I really like nude karaoke. Naked games of all types are fun. Just talking with others in a pool is nice. What naked activities do you most enjoy?

“Ironically, it was probably watching an American film
in my early teens that first alerted me to the possibility of sleeping naked,
and I have done so since I was 15. In
fact, it often surprises me that other people wear anything. I assumed that all those who wear underwear
when going to bed only did so for 'decorum' where others are present, not
having any pyjamas. After all, who would
sleep in, usually tight, underwear. It
is unhealthy.” – Martin M, http://www.naturist-corner.net/community/index.php?topic=21771.0;topicseen

[At nude bowling] “We found a couple of middle lanes,
and stripped off our clothes as we each felt comfortable. At first we had the ten lanes more or less to
ourselves . . . However, . . . because the bowling alley had not been reserved
for us, and was still open to the public, the other lanes slowly began to fill
up too, with just anyone and everyone.
Soon, the entire bowling hall was filled with throngs of clothed bowlers
. . . our TV crew . . . and a small crowd of naked bowlers . . . all getting on
with their own sweet lives, together. No
issues, no problems - it was great. . . in Germany it appears that naked people
can play bowls alongside clothed people with no issues whatsoever . . .” - http://www.naktiv.net/events/bowling-airport-center/

“My little boobs are beautiful. Before, I thought they were nice, but in need
of public normalizing. Naked, I refused
to confine or alter them again. . . They were mine, and there was no need to
conform them to other people's ideals. . . Without clothes on, it's like I
began to see my body for what it was: a beautiful, functioning mechanism that
allowed me to swim, pump blood to my heart, eat delicious fruit, and flirt with
good-looking people. There was no reason
to get down on it for anything, certainly not when it was serving me so well
and fabulously.” – Rachael Krantz, https://www.bustle.com/articles/161285-i-was-naked-in-front-of-strangers-for-4-days-heres-what-happened

“I don't think that naked encounters with wildlife are
a coincidence. When we hike naked we are
usually solo, without smells of detergents, and we are not a threat or
predator. We become one with nature and
nature becomes us. Once we leave the
textile man made world and return to what should be our natural state we gain
acceptance with our wild friends.” – NudeWalker

“For me there is no greater recreation activity then walking nude in the sunshine through a forest and meadow .
. . You can't get this with clothes on.
I stood there, eyes closed slowly breathing the pine-scented air, sun
warming my body . . . with a gentle warm breeze wafting
up from the ground around my legs swirling around my body as if mother nature
were giving me a wonderful hug. I
looked at my body, the body of a lone creature contrasted against the granite,
ground, wildflowers, and trees of this area.
I felt dwarfed by such a magnificent spectacle as all the worldly stress
of everyday life melted away in insignificance compared to such beauty. Thank you God for this moment and day.” – Jay

“A person’s ‘intention’ is most important to being a
naturist. Practicing of naturism
naturally normalizes the body, so promiscuity and related sexual agendas are
reduced, unless a person’s ‘intention’ is sexual in nature – their biggest
agenda item. Clothing is used to
broadcast that intention. Clothing is
not only for protection but also for drawing attention to certain body
parts. While not a conclusive guide, and
perhaps too judgmental, nudists tend to like being nude in most circumstances,
whereas wearing clothing, particularly sexually-oriented clothing, indicates
intensions that are not naturist. Of
course naturists enjoy sex with committed partners, but sexuality is not the
main focus. Rather, naturism is counter-sexual because it normalizes the body.”

long stretches of road in Texas where there is virtually nothing until you get

dressed was a downer.” – Platypus

Naturism is all about honesty. That means you must fess up and let others know who you are. Don't be ashamed. If you can't admit your naturist feelings you're not being honest. It's that simple.
What have you done lately to share your naturist feeling with others?

Do you love freehiking like I do?
Freehiking is how I started being a naturist. Freehiking brings me closer to nature. Freehiking with others reinforces what I feel. Freehiking alone is a spiritual experience.
The NNAZ group is freehiking the Mingus Mountain trail Monday. This should be our largest group freehike. Anyone interested in joining us?
