Freehiking
with Friends
Friday (3/10/2017) Amy and I shared our area in north-central
Arizona with friends from Saskatchewan Canada, where they host a non-landed
club. They were heading home after
staying at Shangri La Ranch for a month.
We previously freehiked in the Tonto Natural Forest with them where the vegetation
was mostly cactus. This time we hiked at
our higher elevation where the vegetation was very different - forest. We freehiked the trails on our land, then our
Secret Nude Trail on Mingus Mountain, and then visited Jerome where we ate
dinner. The cool feeling of shade, the sun
in open areas warming our bodies, quiet-naked exertion, friendly conversation -
walking naked in nature with friends is wonderful. It was so nice sharing these moments. Saying goodbye with a friendly hug ended a
great day, but hopefully not forever. We
may visit them up north in the future, and there is always next year when they
visit Shangri La again. Here are a few
photos of our marvelous day together.
