“Greatest way to enjoy the outdoors is to be nude and
hiking / camping is no different. . . Over the years I have found that the
western part of the U.S. is much more amenable to freehiking, both in terms of
opportunity as well as the attitudes of people. . . Enjoyed a 5-day nude
backpacking/camping trip in the Ocala National Forest last summer. Bugs and heat weren't too bad in the forest
and there was a spring feed pond that served as a great place to cool off and
relax after a day's hike. Only passed
one other hiker and he was down to his backpack and a pair of brief running
shorts, but it was during a downpour so our encounter was very brief as we were
each headed back to our shelter.” – Flbeachman, https://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=1368&page=2

“I have enjoyed ‘skinny road trips’ without a specific
destination, in the past. I will dress
briefly only when necessary . . . when stopping to stretch at the more public
places, while staying nude when stopping in secluded places. . . my kilts just
lay open and flat on the seat much of the time.
They wrap with Velcro, so that I can have one on in a flash if
necessary. I highly recommend both the
kilt and the skinny road trip, as comfortable and versatile extensions of the
naturist life style.” – Dan
“Naturism is a philosophy of life. It’s a way of thinking, acting, and looking
at the rest of the world. We are fostering
respect for self, for others, and for the environment. Complete nudity is fundamental to those
values.” - http://www.bareoaks.ca/index.php/en/about-bare-oaks-family-naturist-park/why-nudity-is-required.html
“I think all people have within them the seed of
Naturism, after all we are born naked and free.
However, every seed holds within itself a potential, can flourish or
not. Not all grow, only age. . . Grow is
a prerogative of humans. Only some claim
this right. . . So that the seed of Naturism can put down some roots it is
essential that its participants will assume their condition in front of
everyone with pride.” – Evandro Telles, http://osnaturistas.com/en/noticias/a-semente-do-naturismo1/

“Naturism is a lifestyle in harmony with nature,
expressed through social nudity, and characterized by self-respect of people
with different opinions and of the environment. . . The purpose of naturism is
to promote wholesomeness and stability of the human body, mind, and
spirit. These come most easily to those
who shed the psychological and social encumbrance of clothing, to see and
respect the human body as created.
Naturism also promotes optimal health through complete contact of the
body with the natural elements. It is practiced
as much as possible in environments free of the pollution and stress of modern
society. It is therefore associated with
an enlightened, holistic approach to nutrition, physical activity, mental
health, and social interaction.” - https://clothesfreelife.com/2016/06/06/on-being-clothes-free-in-the-caribbean/
“We arrived home and I scooped up my shoes and clothes
and walked in the house and dropped them off in the laundry room hamper. At least I wouldn’t have to worry about those
nasty and uncomfortable clothes until the morning. My dog was happy to see us and I just kept
walking thru the house and out the back door to walk my dog. . . both me and
the dog naked in the back yard. Just how
nature intended us to be . . .” - http://nudisuzie.com/page/2/
“If you are curious about naturism, there's really no
substitute for experiencing it for yourself.
No one can ever truly describe that first-time feeling of freedom from
clothes, with your body fully exposed to the sun and the breeze. Swimming without clothes gives a feeling that
you wouldn't believe - a huge difference in sensation, even though it is just a
tiny bathing suit you have left behind.” – http://www.bn.org.uk/articles.php/_/information/about-naturism/first-time-experiences/first-time-experiences-introduction-r20
“When walking through the countryside, especially in
the summer it’s not hard to appreciate all that is there. Apart from frequently enjoying the freedom of
being naked, it is the feeling that you actually belong to part of nature that
is the most pleasurable. In fact, many
words can sum up this feeling:
enjoyable, satisfying, delightful, good fun, fulfilling, rewarding . .

“There you are. Naked. Both
physically and mentally. Of course, this
will not solve your problems, the bills won’t pay themselves and the issue with
your partner still has to be cleared out. But take some time off from it, take some time
to destress and when you put your clothes back on you can look at the things
from a different perspective. . . nudism can help you handle stress.” - http://www.nakedwanderings.com/blog/2017/04/03/undress-to-destress/

“I don't remember how old I was when I figured out
that God could see me naked. . . Over the years, various church talks, lessons
and sermons further convinced me that Heavenly Father was deeply concerned
about what I did in my various stages of undress, and therefore kept me under
constant surveillance. Worse was the
idea that whatever I was up to while under this heavenly microscope was also
somehow the business of my ecclesiastical leaders, who seemed to take a dim
view of anything not officially sanctioned. . . Who thought up genital
mutilation as a way of drawing closer to God?
Circumcision for baby boys and even young girls? . . . I'd also like to
know why, if our genitals are of such great religious import — sacred tools, if
you will — and what we do with them is of eternal consequence, whose idea was
it to create us so that we had to pee through them? How unsacred can you get? In the end, the business of our privates is
actually … well, our private business.” - Robert Kirby, http://www.sltrib.com/news/4601342-155/story.html#sthash.KDk3IVVA.gbpl

came of it! The man was just checking me

“If all young people came on a week's stay at a nudist
beach, it would with no doubt do wonders to the way they value their own bodies
– and indeed their partner's body as well. . . Today many young people don’t
shower after sport activities and at the same time there is such a free access
to porn, where it is often the more streamlined (read: surgically corrected)
bodies that are shown, and for men the generously grown penis scale that will
be exposed, so that alone gives them a fairly wrong reference to start
comparing their own (or their partners) body with others. Just five days on a nudist beach, where they
will be exposed to all types and forms of human bodies, would probably help
them to get a more positive and free view of their own bodies – and thereby
find greater joy of life and not least confidence in themselves.” - Emilia van

“Well, got my first naked driving in for the
year. Since it was wet outside this
morning, I took the truck to work . . . since it was warm out I decided to do
it au-naturel. Grabbed some clothes and
shoes, along with my lunch, and I jumped in the car. I drove the speed limit and made sure to come
to complete stops everywhere, just to avoid getting pulled over for some stupid
reason. . . at work we have to park a bit away and take a shuttle bus in. Since I was naked, I pulled into the far end
corner of the parking lot so I could get dressed first. This of course adds time onto my trip home,

‘bomb’! Said he was a naturist. I said, ‘That’s great, because I love trees,
being outdoors and camping and such’. He
said, ‘No, not a naturAList – a natURist or nudist.’ Long story short, I really liked this guy so
agreed to meet so he could explain the whole nudist thing. We met and we talked the whole day. He made it seem so perfectly natural and not
scary that I told him I would take a trip to the nude beach with him to see
what it was all about. It took all of
two minutes for me to shed clothing and couldn’t believe the freedom and

“Social comfort and physical comfort are different
issues. Certainly, any time you’re in a
place where it’s too cold to be comfortable naked, then wear something. Social comfort is a more interesting
issue. If one has had any experience
being naked with others (besides close friends or family), then it’s a little
hard to understand why one couldn’t be naked comfortably in most gatherings
where one is pretty confident that everyone else is tolerant of nudity. Especially if most of the others are also
naked. . . Another point is that there is value in deliberately venturing,
gradually, a little outside one’s comfort zone.
This is how the zone can eventually be expanded.” – Diogenes, http://jillianpage.com/2013/11/25/nudismnaturism-comfort-levels/#comments
“The other reality of our times are cell phones and
911. Don’t let any weird hysterical
person see you driving nude and assume it has anything to do with them. The vast majority of the time, no one will
care. Fewer will care enough to get
involved. . . rarely do people look sideways.
Drivers are driving and passengers as well. They are lost in thought, action is
automatic, subconscious. This makes the
activity much safer still. . . I am familiar with people who let their guard
down and do not take precautions, driving nude nearly every day, who have never
got into trouble. The odds of
encountering trouble become something like being hit by lightning, when a few
practical measures are added.” - Jbeegoode, http://thefreerangenaturist.org/2015/09/25/carnuding-handbook-on-being-realistic-and-practical/

times when you were supposed to leave.
Just thirty more minutes. Oh,

Taking plenty of time to arrange and rearrange the things in your

“I had the day off and decided to do further
exploration of the green belt area that I discovered quite near home. . . I
free hiked for about 45 minutes until I came to small clearing. It was around 11:00 a.m. and the sun was high
so I decided to stop and do some sunbathing.
It was a fabulous location that had been more than a little difficult to
access because of the steep hilly terrain that was well covered with trees and
brush so I felt totally at ease lying there on the grass and enjoying the
warmth of the sun over every inch of my body. . . Afterwards, I collected my
clothing and continued a bit further finding a huge rock almost shaped like a
bench and so I stopped again and just sat down and enjoyed being outside in
nature. . . I had some things that had to be done so I reluctantly headed back
the way I had come. I remained naked
until almost reaching the end of the wide improved trail I had used to start
the hike and didn't dress until I was near the point where it led into the
open. All told, an enjoyable 90 minutes
of free hiking and nude sunbathing.” – The Emerging Nudist

School Security System
Because of the mania of the recent Florida school shooting,
many are pushing to ban assault rifles in order to secure the safety of students
and others. Although I personally don’t
believe this proposed solution will solve much (after all, a pipe bomb, a truck
of fertilizer, a car, and even a pressure cooker have all been used recently to
create havoc with even greater loss of life), if people want something
banned, who cares? I believe this push
is mostly political and won’t accomplish much anyway.
In general, I believe we need to bring security issues
closer to home, to each school, instead of creating/depending on new and costly distant
government programs and solutions. With
this in mind, here is an approach/system that might actually solve the problem,
without unreasonable cost:
1. Select/train
existing teachers as a concealed-carry “School Security Team” (SST). (Many teachers would agree to do this for
even a little extra cash.) They could
carry guns in case of emergency situations (which seldom happen anyway). They could also be scheduled to man unlocked
doors, and they would more likely recognize problem people. This would cause some perpetrators to think
twice before attacking a school (how often do these types of people attack an
armed police station?).
2. Create a “Security Hot-Line” (SHL), manned by existing
school personnel, which everyone with a security concern in and out of the
school district could call.
3. Create/teach a class (for students and others) about
the importance of acting responsibly and how to handle emergency situations.
By the way, naturists don’t have to worry about most of
these issues anyway, because frankly, where can a naked person hide a gun?

“Hello, my name is Rob. . . and I live in the suburbs
of Cleveland, Ohio, USA. I am married to
a wonderful lady, and we recently celebrated our 30th anniversary. . . I am
employed in the office of a construction sub-contractor, and my wife in an
educator. We are both born again,
conservative Christians, and we are both active in our local church . . . I
have, within the last 2 years, become an avid bare footer, mainly due to my
sore knees. Since I’ve become a bare
footer, I just don’t understand how any nudist can ever wear shoes! Walking barefoot has really helped my knees,
and I encourage everyone to kick off their shoes! I am the only nudist in my family. I was born
and raised in a family that never paraded around without clothes . . . It was
in my early years though, that I found my love for nudity. . . At the age of 5,
my family bought an above ground pool for our backyard. I pretty much grew up in that pool. . . when
I would be alone in the pool, as a kid, I would remove my trunks and swim and
play while nude . . . Around the age of 11 or 12, I discovered that there were
spots in our backyard, where I could be nude, without the neighbors seeing me .
. . As I got older, I always tried to find places to enjoy being nude. Mainly in my backyard, or the local
woods. But the ‘nudity is sinful’ always
hung over my head. . . I started praying and studying God’s word . . . I
searched the bible, I searched the internet, I read everything I could on the
subject of Christian nudists. Finally,
while driving in the car alone, on my way to helping with our church’s youth
group, I was praying about this subject yet again, when God answered my
prayers, in an audible voice, saying ‘I don’t care what’s on the outside of a
man, but rather what’s inside his heart.’ I almost drove off the road!” - http://www.nakedwanderings.com/2016/11/17/naturist-talks-rob-usa/

oppressed due to the fear of being insulted or the reaction of another being

the desert. . . for a couple five mile hikes.
It is still nice being able to leave everything in my vehicle and strike
out nude. . . I've been drawn to a kumeyaay area where I've finally spotted
some petroglyphs. There are a few desert
flowers starting to bloom . . . I hiked out about 2-3 miles to a flat sandy
area with a rock outcropping . . . I was again pondering the previous
inhabitants and was looking at some rock carvings. The day was much more pleasant than yesterday
and I was enjoying the warm breeze leaning on my hiking pole. . . my eyes were
drawn upward to spy a golden eagle riding the thermals above me. I watched him in envy a few minutes and
returned my attention to the hum which turned out to be a swarm of bees that
were taking advantage of the early blossoms of the tall bush next to me. . .
Even with the wind the temperature was not bad and since nude hiking
opportunities are much appreciated by me I pressed on further into the desert.
. . Much of the area is referred to as Badlands for it is desolate and the
terrain appears harsh at times from a distance.
I think it is only when you walk amongst it that the beauty and thriving
life is evident if you’re open to it and being naked your whole body is open.”

naturism has become natural for me. I
felt totally natural walking and working naked outdoors. In fact, it took conscious thought to even
realize I was naked. Even the idea of

Later I stopped to talk for about five minutes about the trail with a
lady friend who was out walking her dog.
Afterwards, I realized how amazing it was for a naked guy to approach
and talk with a naked woman in the dark of night without a care from either
person. I slept naked of course. This morning I’m naked on the computer, and
about ready to put on my socks and boots (that’s all) and head back to work on

“Stood out in the side yard [nude] the other day and
talked to our next-door neighbor for about 15 mins. He can see over the fence but to his credit,
he stood back away from it. He's seen us
and he knew I was naked but he not only started the conversation but continued
it. He was friendly and we were
laughing. A few days earlier the
neighbor across the street was on his roof.
I was on the other side yard working on a project. He heard the Skill Saw and looked over. I didn't see him at first but I turned and
walked to the work shed and as I emerged to return to my project I saw movement
and looked up and he was standing on his roof waving and smiling. . . I think
it depends on how you present yourself to your neighbors while you're
nude. I just do what I would normally do
if I were clothed. I don't lay out with
my legs spread in their direction. Each
time they've seen me it's been in a normal pose, floating on the water in the
pool, laying out working on the tan or doing yard work, general backyard clean-up of patio furniture, working on a project or just sitting and enjoying a
beverage and cigar. I'm just acting
normally and I think that's why our neighbors are ‘ok’ with our nudity.” –

QUOTES
2/17/2018
“Swimming naked is one of the top naturist activities
that you should do regularly. It is a
refreshing, relaxing, stimulating and therapeutic experience that gives you an
intense feeling of freedom and happiness. . . the water feels amazing against
your skin, as opposed to when you swim wearing a swim suit. . . [It] is also a
great way of learning to accept your body, and it helps to get rid of the
negative concept that your naked body is something to be ashamed of. It is also a liberating experience that helps
you to enjoy the wonders of the nature . . .” - http://blog.vritomartis.com/top-18-things-to-do-naked/

“Stated plainly, a person’s attitudes towards nudity
often reveal an underlying racism . . . naturist magazines can’t be sold on the
newsstand (unless they’re in the XXX adult section) because they have naked
CAUCASIAN people. Nudity is, apparently,
only fitting for people of ethnicity whom we expect to be naked ‘savages.’ Pictures of breast feeding infants are okay
if the infants are ‘tribal’ but Facebook bans North American moms from posting
breast feeding photos . . . Kids raised in the Amazon jungle who romp and swim
naked? . . . Kids raised in Arizona running around or swimming naked? . . . Aborigines
naked in the Australian Outback may be filmed, studied, interviewed. . .Nudists
on a beach in Queensland, Australia may need to be locked up. . . Take a
picture of a naked child in the jungles of South America and you’re an
anthropologist. Take a picture of a
naked child in North America and you’re a child pornographer. . . A British
Royal Marine retires from service and decides to walk rural roads of the UK
naked (physically harming no person) and the UK locks him up indefinitely. . .
Men go hunting buck naked in the African bush and velds, throwing spears or
shooting arrows . . . filmed in vivid detail for the Learning channel [which] .
. . visits a nudist park and everyone is carefully pixelated to avoid causing
‘offense’ to the viewer. . . these examples demonstrate a kind of thinking that
is more degrading than anything . . . When the people of a given race stay in
the category and clothes that are expected of them (savage red man or black
woman versus enlightened civilized white family) then no harm, no foul. But when people don’t stay ‘in their place’
we’ll cry obscene!” – Bare Platypus, http://bareplatypus.blogspot.com/2012/04/nude-attitudes-reveal-raw-racism.html?spref=tw
“. . . nudists/naturists face all sorts of
discrimination around the world — from countries in which social nudism is
illegal to others that have allowed nowhere near enough public spaces for
naturists to journalists and celebrities who take a wink-wink-nudge-nudge
approach to the subject and, finally, to misinformed individuals who confuse
social nudism with wild swingers’ events.
And all most naturists want to do is just free themselves from the
confines of textiles and to overcome body image hang-ups — because social
nudism does those things, and more.” – Jillian Page, http://jillianpage.com/2014/01/15/nudismnaturism-discrimination-2/
