“On a warm afternoon, I was laid out near what I
thought was a game trail. Turns out,
it's also used by locals walking their dogs.
I had fallen asleep in the sun and was awoken by a woman and her dog as
they walked the trail. When discovered,
I simply said ‘Good Afternoon’. She
nodded and asked if it was OK if she passed thru. I said of course’ and she continued her
walk. No big deal. . . During a
different trip to the same area, a man was hiking with his dog and happened on
me once again sunning. Although we never
spoke, he moved off some 20 yards to give me some space, quickly stripped off
his clothes, and proceeded to lay in the sun for an hour or so. He finally left when his pup grew restless
and decided it was time to go. Once
again, no big deal.” - https://www.truenudists.com/groups/view.php?action=viewthread&id=132&idt=52238&page=3

“Ironing is not my favorite thing to do . . . It
really drags on when I do it inside but I like to take it out onto the back
lawn and iron naked in the sun. I seem
to breeze through it and on the really hot days I have a hose ready on the lawn
and hose myself down . . . It is one way I can get a nice tan and not feel
guilty about my work not getting done.” – Roady, https://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=6&page=1
“When I was a high school kid, I was a lifeguard and
swimming instructor. At one little West
Texas town's country club, I was the only lifeguard and staff member. It was like having my own private pool once
it was closed. Then, I would love
swimming laps in the nude to stay fit.
There's no other feeling like gliding through the water nude. It's really great for exercising, because
there's no drag of a suit at all.” - Jim Shorts, https://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=85262&page=1
“. . . eloquent Nature. I merge myself in the scene, in the perfect
day - they begin to make a new man of me.
Every day . . . at least two or three hours of freedom, bathing, no talk,
no bonds, no dress, no books, no manners.
Shall I tell you . . . to what I attribute my already much-restored
health? That I have been almost two
years . . . without drugs and medicines, and daily in the open air. Never before did I get so close to Nature;
never before did she come so close to me. . . so serene and primitive, so
conventionally exceptional, natural. It
was just the place and time for my Adamic air-bath. So hanging clothes on a rail nearby . . . I
seemed to get identity with each and every thing around me . . . Nature was
naked, and I was also. Perhaps the inner
never lost rapport we hold with earth, light, air, trees . . . is not to be
realized through eyes and mind only, but through the whole corporeal body,
which I will not have blinded or bandaged any more than the eyes. Sweet, sane, still Nakedness in Nature! - ah
if poor, sick, prurient humanity in cities might really know you once
more! Is not nakedness then
indecent? No, not inherently. It is your thought, your sophistication, your
fear, your respectability, that is indecent.
There come moods when these clothes of ours are not only too irksome to
wear, but are themselves indecent.
Perhaps indeed he or she to whom the free exhilarating ecstasy of
nakedness in Nature has never been eligible . . . has not really known what
purity is—nor what faith or art or health really is. (Probably the whole curriculum of first-class
philosophy, beauty, heroism, form, illustrated by the old Hellenic race—the
highest height and deepest depth known to civilization in those
departments—came from their natural and religious idea of Nakedness.) Many such hours, from time to time, the last
two summers, I attribute my partial rehabilitation largely to them.” – Walt

“Upon encountering clothed walkers, do you dive into
the bush while trying to rapidly put your pants on? Do you run away, hoping you were not
seen? Do you proudly saunter past the
clothed walkers with your head held high and your genitalia proudly on display?
. . . [One time] a mixed-gender group of elderly bushwalkers suddenly appeared
on the trail before me, and I only just had time to sling my shoulder satchel
in front of me as we squeezed past each other.
I heard some low whispers and giggles, and when I glanced back at them I
noticed that the last lady in the group was craning her head to catch a glimpse
of my bum. Another time, I encountered a man who was walking his dog ahead.
Without time to cover up before passing him, I said ‘sorry mate’ and covered my
genitalia with my hand. He didn't even
react, but had a look on his face as if he’d seen a ghost. I am a firm believer that if you act like you
are doing something wrong, people will think that’s what you are doing. I always make sure I only get nude when there
is the smallest possibility of encountering other people, so I go to remote
places mid-week when there is no school or public holidays.” – Michael

“Cardiff was once again host this year (2015) to yet
another naked bike ride. . . This was the 8th time there has been a WNBR in
Cardiff. The ride was the longest yet,
for Cardiff. 8.5 miles, through the city center, to the Millennium center and
back to Roath Park. The weather was good
and there was a fairly even mix between male and female participants. . . Not
everyone wanted to get completely naked, but the dress code is “bare as you
dare”. Riders can wear as little, or as much as they are comfortable with,
either keeping their underwear on, or covering their face, to give a measure of
anonymity. There were even a few fully dressed participants, who had just
decided to join the ride on the spur of the moment. Those who took part thoroughly enjoyed the
event and many of them made good friends there and got together afterwards for
a naked midsummer BBQ.” - https://nakedhistorian.wordpress.com/2015/06/22/cardiff-wnbr-2015/

“Yesterday was a fantastic day for being in the garden
and I got loads done. . . Pottering in the greenhouse I was surprised by an
unexpected guest. She came straight into
the garden as normal, except I was of course naked. I was fine with it, but my friend was
suddenly highly embarrassed and didn't know what to do. After a couple of awkward minutes, she made
her excuses and left. I just hope I
haven't lost a good friend. . . The lady in question did get in touch after
several days. She asked if she was still
welcome in my garden, of course I said yes.
Since it had never come up in conversation before I explained about my
preference for nudity. As long as she
didn't mind then we both agreed to continue our mutual love of gardening. It was another three days before she called
in and once again she came straight into the garden. Yes, I was naked and no she wouldn't join in,
but she was quite happy to help out for the afternoon. I did ask her outright if she would join me,

“In ancient Greece, nudity was admired and celebrated,
especially in strong athletes. The

“I often wear a blue polo shirt with the logo from
Cypress Cove and the words ‘Cypress Cove Nudist Resort and Spa.’ I'm perfectly willing to discuss it with
anyone who raises the issue. A casual,
‘Oh, we went there once,’ is enough to start a conversation if the person is
interested. . . A favorite ‘discussion starter’ of mine is to casually mention,
‘Oh, yeah, we spent the weekend at a really nice resort near Tampa called
Paradise Lakes’ (or whatever). If the
person is ‘into’ the idea of nudism, he or she will recognize the name and same
something like, ‘I've heard of that place . . .’ and the conversation rolls
on.” – Nudesuncpl
“I would like see a change in the direction of our
national nudist organizations and their member clubs to promoting nudism and
naturism as healthy lifestyles as opposed to being merely a recreational
activity. . . I envision a clothes-free lifestyle as one the promotes health
and fitness, not to achieve some abstract aesthetic standard, but to enhance
one’s health and physical abilities, and to benefit one’s own well-being. I regard body acceptance as a starting point
rather than an end in itself. We have to
accept things as they are before we can work to change them through our own
efforts.” - http://mojoreisen.com/blog/?p=1839

“Have you ever thought of going to the nude beach and
getting a full body tan? Have you ever
considered going to a private nude beach and getting that tan you’ve always
wanted without the use of a tanning bed?
Sunbathing, especially while naked, is the most natural way to add a
little bit of color to your skin. . . a much easier way to get an even tan is
to just sunbathe naked. Sun tanning
should be a relaxing activity where you just lay on a towel and soak up the rays
without having to fiddle with a bathing suit. . . a lot of people will visit a
nudist beach for the purpose of getting the perfect tan, knowing that nobody’s
trying to make them feel uncomfortable about it. Expose your entire natural body to the sun,
with sun tan lotion, and experience total relaxation. Enjoy the peace, the breeze, and the serenity
of the ocean. Nude sunbathing can be a
very rewarding experience if you’re able to let yourself go and relax.” – Jordam

“Consider for a moment the energy, publicity and
awareness about nude recreation that Bare Necessities Travel generates with
their annual Big Nude Cruise from Florida.
Now think if we had 10 or 20 travel companies selling nudist travel and
cruises and the energy they would provide as they marketed their trips to the
public. Consider if we had 30 or 40
companies selling day trip experiences like nude white-water rafting trips,
nude hiking excursions or nude gardening and nude culinary experiences. . .
What about the energy a national nude sports organization would provide
throwing weekend tournaments at the resorts?
Think about how each of these nudist entrepreneurs would generate energy
and awareness about nudism as they promoted their offerings and tried to grow

naturism or nudism as a lifestyle and so I am considering giving talks locally
on the social aspect of this way of life.
I am prepared to give the talks naked.
I would like to spread the message of the benefits of social nudity as I
have derived so much from the practice, both physically and mentally. . . I
also very much enjoy being able to walk in the countryside without the
disadvantages of clothes. The absence of

“Undressing has the power to undermine authority by
presenting observers with a sudden, unpredicted sight of nudity. It demonstrates the emotional resolve to
carry on in the face of oppressive forces. . . the naked female body has become
an apt tool of resistance. Nudity, more
so than placards and chants of ‘not in my name’, ensures that images of these
protests will be broadcast worldwide.
The naked body has a very different meaning in this context than it does
elsewhere. One of the reasons for the
effectiveness of naked protest is the fact that its meaning can change so
drastically depending on the motives for undressing. Undressing on the street sends very different
messages to an act of undressing carried out on a stage or in a private
bedroom. The same naked body, in these
different settings, can be beautiful or monstrous, strong or vulnerable,
compliant or defiant. . . When we undress in public, the act is almost always
intended as a message. Public nudity
expresses very particular desires or demands.
For anti-war protestors, the naked body advocates disarmament. A body, after all, cannot make love and war
at the same time. As a form of peaceful
protest, the vulnerable naked body opposes the might of oppressive powers,
undermining the power of the social contract that tells all compliant citizens
to remain clothed.” – Dr. Barbara Brownie, http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/author/barbara-brownie

“Yesterday I drove nude from Phoenix to Las Vegas on
the way to work in Utah. This route
would make an ideal Skinny Road Trip – what could be better than enjoying a
naturist drive/camp/freehike/soak on the way to a fun weekend in Las
Vegas? On the way I passed the Burro
Creek Campgrounds and Kaiser Warm Springs exits. This would make ideal place to stop as part of
an organized Skinny Road Trip. The Upper
Burro Creek Wilderness Area East of Highway 93 [AZ] offers a mere 27,440 acres
of free nude camping, nude sunning/swimming at deep pools connected by small
waterfalls, and enough scenery to last a lifetime. . . There's complete privacy
and the scenery begs description with all manner of desert flora and fauna . .
. 800-foot high canyon walls, several natural caves . . . Shortly before
reaching the spring, there's even the abandoned Touch Hole Gold Mine, so named
because the claim holders kept destroying the visitor-built pool at the spring
in an effort to keep soakers away. After
the claim was vacated, a couple from Hawaii rebuilt the pool and it's been
great soaking ever since . . . UNLIMITED nude hiking and free fourteen day nude
camping and two tepid tubs a few yards downstream from the warm spring add to
this WORLD GUIDE CLASS area, but the icing on the cake is that less than 200
yards from the spring, Kaiser Canyon meets Burro Creek with its sandy beaches,
good sun window, MASSIVE red sandstone sunning boulders, the largest we know
of, and skinnydipping in the refreshing creek water. Who could ask for more?” –

“I had never considered myself a naturist in my youth
but it was in me from an early age. I
never saw any of my family naked so I don't know why I enjoyed being naked. . .
Once I got married, it was great to be able to be naked in the company of my
wife . . . Fast forward 10 years to a holiday in the Vendee region of France
with our kids and my wife's sister's family.
On our way to the village from the campsite we passed the sign for the
naturist beach. After several days, I
said to my wife that I would love to go skinny dipping. To my great surprise, she said she would love
to do it too. For the rest of the time
we were there, we tried to get an excuse to get away ourselves for a few hours
but just couldn't do it, they always wanted to stick together. . . I found
Sunnybroom in Aberdeen had a swim on the first Saturday of the month and contacted
them to arrange a visit. . . About twenty of us went into the same changing
room and they all stripped off so we looked at each other and did the same. . .
Then it was through to the pool and in we went.
Wow, I never knew swimming nude was so enjoyable. After that, we were hooked and the rest is
history.” – Robt51, http://www.naturist-corner.net/community/index.php?topic=21510.0;topicseen

“April 27, 2012 I drove from Las Vegas to Phoenix

“The last irrational, moralistic taboo in America is
that of public nudity. There is no
difference between an Iranian woman being arrested for going out in the streets
without her hair covered and an American woman being arrested for stepping out
her front door without a top on. Nobody
can give a rational explanation for anti-nudity laws. The government uses, instead, abstract

“. . . keeping nudism secret means it can’t be

promote nudism positively. . . To normalize nudity, we will need to change
stuff. Only we can change the aversion

the crazy censorship of nakedness. We
need to end the advertising of too much sex and perfect bodies. We need to end negative body image
advertising. We need to petition to end
a lot of atrocities like war and violence to be seen on the media, movies, and

go public with nudism and make nudism mainstream.” - Randomfactsgeekjga, https://rfgjga1992.wordpress.com/2016/01/12/why-are-we-taught-shame-about-nudity-and-our-bodies/
“. . . there is nothing better than taking a nude walk
in the woods. Where I camp it is
clothing optional. So I camp nude and
there are 80 acres of wooded trails. I
love morning walks when all the animals are waking and the birds are singing. .
. When I want some new scenery I walk down the road and hike down into the
gorge. There is a nudist area down there
and others come to relax nude and soak up some sun. A great hike and great scenery.” – ColdnNude,

QUOTES
10/19/2018
“Generally, naturism is
none of the things most people who don’t practice it believe it to be – and
that is a very long list of strange perceptions. Naturism, in its healthiest expression,
celebrates the person – not what they look like or how they dress. Naturism recognizes no uniforms; every single
body can be as unique as the individual who lives within. Naturism can be healthy for body and mind. Naturism can be a lot of things – fun,
sociable, healthy, sensual, liberating and natural . . . sometimes it’s fun to
get ‘dressed up’ and I certainly don’t advocate nudity for every situation (arc
welding springs to mind). Clothes serve
a functional purpose, but somehow, somewhere, clothes have taken over from
self-esteem and self-perception as well.
It doesn’t need to be that way.” – Stephen Crowley, Loxie & Zoot and

“The swimsuit industry is all about sexually
objectifying women. A lot of swimsuits
are made to emphasize a woman’s cleavage and butt. The over-sexualization of breasts is part of
the reason we’re forced to wear tops at all.
Victoria’s Secret adds the word ‘sexy’ into the names of every single
one of their bathing suits. . . it sends the message that women are supposed to
wear bikinis so they can look ‘sexy’ and attract the (heterosexual) male gaze. Why else would we go to the beach, right? . .
. It sounds counter-intuitive, but nude beaches and nudist resorts create a
more equal and less sexual environment because everyone is naked. . . As the
swimsuit has shrunk in appearance, one would hope that we are eventually going
to do away with it entirely or at least get more top-optional /
swimsuit-optional places.” – Felicity, YNA, http://youngnaturistsamerica.com/why-bathing-suits-are-pointless-and-unhealthy/
“If you
live with a partner, you should definitely discuss your interest in naturism
with them from the start. Honesty is
always the best policy, and you never know, they may be just as interested as
you! – https://freewilluk.wordpress.com/2015/03/26/step-by-step-guide/

“THE FABLE OF THE NAKED
TRUTH - One morning, while Truth skinny-dipped, Old Falsehood found where she
had stripped. That lier stole her royal
robe, and strutted in it round the globe.
But Truth was pure and would not wear, the rags that Falsehood left her
there. From that day onward she went
bare. Clad only in the sun and air,
exposing all to all she greets, who fall for falsely dressed deceits, the Naked
Truth with glory gleams, dispelling Falsehood’s charming schemes. Although its wrap looks safe and sound, not
all that seems is truly bound. The garb
of Truth can fool the wise, when it is worn as a disguise. But morning doesn’t fight with night. It simply says, ‘So long!’ with light. Just so, deception, from a lie. Must go at Naked Truth’s ‘Good-bye!’” - David

General
Crook Trail
In between doing some real estate, I visited the
General Crook Trail area to take a few photos for our planned group
freehike (doing it nude of
course). I drove home nude. Later, I spent some time naked while replacing
signs on our Nature and Meditation Trail.
And Amy and I enjoyed some naked time together at home. Naked life is good!
